The activities of the Technological Centre for the Textile and Clothing Industries of Portugal are based on six main areas: Laboratory Services (quality), Consulting and Technical Assistance (better performance), Technological Surveillance & Innovation (innovation), Human Resources Improvement (excellency), Cooperation with Public Administration (definition and implementation of policies for the sector) and International Consulting (acknowledgment tool and connection with emergent performers). CITEVE has been developing competences on the Textile and Clothing Industries (TCI) through technological development and innovation, improving Clothing Industry towards future concepts (multifunctional, individual protection and defence garments, health and well-being) and also involving TCI in high potential competitive clusters such as automotive, health and habitat.
